Build Your Perfect Pizza
Next time you’re craving pizza, try making your own at home with ingredients we can deliver right to your doorstep. Making your own pizza is simple, and it allows you complete control over the ingredients and toppings that go on your pie. You can even make individual serving pizzas and let each person build their own, forever silencing disputes over whether or not pineapple belongs on a pizza.
You don’t need a specialty oven or fancy gadgets, and the topping possibilities are endless! (We share three of our favorites below.) And hey, there’s nothing more satisfying than eating a fresh, delicious pizza that you made yourself.
Pick Your Pizza Crust
Get started by rolling out Essential Baking Company’s dough ball or save yourself some time with either the ready-to-heat-and-eat thin crust or take & bake garlic bread.
Add the Sauce
Next, add Cucina Fresca's Marinara, a classic red sauce that's rich in flavor and color, or Tutta Bella's Rustic Marinara, which captures the essence of Neapolitan cooking: simple, fresh, and flavorful. For a delicious alternative, try Cucina Fresca's creamy Alfredo Sauce.
The Cheese
Sprinkle with Tillamook's Shredded Mozzarella or find a new favorite in our cheese category.
The Toppings
Finally, load it with all of your favorite meat and veggie toppings - from Coro's Sliced Pepperoni and Carso's Diced Grilled Chicken Breast to cremini mushrooms and leafy spinach.
And Bake (or Grill)!
Bake until the crust is golden and the cheese is melted. [Tip: The hotter the oven, the better the pizza! Pre-heat your oven between 450-500F.)
During warmer months, you can enjoy homemade pizza without using your oven -- instead, try grilling your pizza. Cooking pizza directly over a flame gives grilled pizza a little bit of smoky char, similar to wood-fired or coal-fired pizza.
To make grilled pizza, you want to preheat your grill and get it very hot (again, 450-500F) for the best results. Use a pizza stone, cookie sheet, or foil if you have it available to help prevent the dough from sticking to the grill grate. Grill the pizza with the grill lid closed to mimic an enclosed oven. For more on grilled pizza, see our Grilled BBQ Chicken Pizza with Avocado Crema Recipe.
Veggie Pizza
Starting with Essential Baking Company's Pizza Dough Ball, this pizza features a red sauce and is loaded with veggies, including organic yellow onions, broccoli florets, cremini mushrooms, and baby spinach.
Pepperoni Pizza
Pepperoni pizza with a garlicky twist! Instead of the typical pizza crust, we used Essential Baking Company's Take & Bake Garlic Bread as the base. Then added a rich marinara sauce and piled it with pepperoni, grilled onions, and lots of cheese.
Chicken Alfredo Pizza
We saved our favorite for last. Swapping marinara for a rich and creamy alfredo sauce is an easy, delicious upgrade. Plus, with Essential Baking Company's Ready-to-Heat Thin Pizza Crust, you can have dinner on the table in 30 minutes.
Would you rather have a ready-made pizza pie? Not to worry, we have you covered there too! Check out our selection of Tutta Bella’s Neapolitan-style, ready-to-bake pizzas.
