Milkman Rob Frederick

Rob is a 3rd generation milkman. He has been serving the South Hill Puyallup area for over 20 years. As a child, he remembers getting excited to go to the dairy to ride in a milk truck with his grandpa. Since then, he has been able to be a part of this excellent community and watch families grow up. He has already had the privilege of delivering milk to some of his customer’s grandchildren. He has 3 children of his own and loves to see their excitement every time they come to the dairy.

What year did you join the team: 1989
 
What do you enjoy most about your job? I enjoy meeting and getting to know the families in our communities. I feel blessed that they, in turn, make me feel part of their family.
 
What’s your favorite product? Our blueberry muffins from Alki Bakery are spectacular but don't overlook our Brussels sprouts... kidding :)
 
What’s your favorite way to spend a day off? What day off? Haha, I have kids and yardwork and projects and...
 
What’s your favorite thing to do in the Pacific Northwest? Luckily we have a lot of water and lakes around us. Camping near a lake or river has always been a favorite of mine. Now if we add a boat to that camping trip we've really got something!
 
What’s your proudest accomplishment? I think I mentioned my kids.. :) And despite my best efforts, they've turned out pretty good.
 
What’s your hidden talent or hobby? I was recently licensed by the USCG as a Master Captain.
 
What would you sing at karaoke night? Sweet Caroline
 
What was your first job? In high school, I worked In a hardware store's plant nursery. That would explain my existing aversion to steer manure however I can still identify a red-tipped photinia.
 
Please share anything else you would want customers to know about you.

I'd like to say thank you to the wonderful families who have welcomed me as one of your own. Because of you, I feel like I'm a part of your neighborhood and your weekly schedule

Rob is the most amazing milkman and human ever! I was elated 13 years ago when I moved homes in Puyallup, I was so excited to see Rob at my New Door on Delivery day! He is part of the family... 19 years!

Started getting milk delivered for the 4 Grandkids that live on ether side of me and are here most of the time.  Rob is the BEST.  The kids look forward to seeing him every Monday.  All the Dogs love him even though they bark at his truck.  He always has a treat for them.

I appreciate Rob even more during the pandemic because he is providing a very important service to me as I am immune-compromised.  Thank you so much for your hard work.

Every time we get our notification that our order was delivered we know it was done with care! Rob takes time to say hello and ask how everyone is doing. It’s always a pleasure to visit with him. Rob thanks for everything 😊

Happy National Milkman Day! I appreciate the work you do to get our order to us every week. During this pandemic I’ve increased my orders to include many of the items I get from the grocery store, reducing the need to go out. I look forward to my weekly order and all the new goodies I’m getting. I’ve seen you a couple of times and you always have a smile and say something nice. I look forward to seeing you next Monday.
PS I’ve been getting milk delivery from Smith Brother's for over 25 years.

Happy Milkman day,  Rob! I see you are a third generation milkman.  I am a third generation Smith Brothers customer.  In fact, my mom was a model for Smith Brothers as a baby about 78 years ago. She was holding a bottle in the ad.  Also, you deliver to my daughter, Kristi Fusion. So the legacy goes on.  You are an awesome, personable,  caring milkman.  You are a blessing to our family.  Thank you!

Rob has been our milkman for close to 30 years!  He is truly the best!  You always have a smile and such a kind heart!  I have loved our conversations over the years!  Although we don't use as much dairy as we used to, I'm grateful that Smith Brothers has non dairy products so we can continue to see Rob on a regular basis!  Thank you Rob for all your years of service to us!  We appreciate you and always look forward to our delivery day!  Blessings! Rob is the best of the best! Popeye can't wait for him to get here...goes berserk when he hears the truck! He is in hospice and his interaction with Rob is a highlight to help him stay as well as he can be. Thank you, Rob!!!!

Rob, We removed your Christmas Card from the delivery box this a.m. because the company computer sent us an early message that we would NOT receive a delivery until Dec 30th. That was an erroneous computer message because our delivery would normally occur today (Dec 23rd) as you completed it. At any rate, Christmas Card in the box for our next delivery, two weeks from now. Wishing you and your family a Merry Christmas and Blessed New Year.

Hi, Rob. We moved to Steilacoom in the fall and are pleased to begin service again with Smith Brothers Farms. Thank you for adding us to your delivery route, and we look forward to our new relationship.
