Meet Your Neighborhood Milkman: Jesse Thomas

Jesse's career as a milkman started when he was 15. The milkman who delivered to his house offered him a summer job. He got hired for $40 a day, and all the chocolate milk he could drink. His job was to run milk up to the doorstep. Soon he was driving and delivering, loving the freedom of the road and enjoying the exercise, as well as the interaction with the customers and children who look forward to having their milk delivered. Jesse is also a proud father and has one daughter named Emma.

Now that his route has changed we don't get to see Jesse when he delivers our milk :(

We truly appreciate the service you have given us over the years and the special treat you leave for our dog Dottie.
Unfortunately we no longer have our cute and cuddly Dottie any more.  The treats left for her were a great part of her day.
They did not go to waist.  Our neighbor's dog love them.

Sorry to have lost you as my milkman, Jesse.  You have been delivering to my house since I bought it in 2011.  I have always enjoyed our talks.  Your service is the best!  I wish you all the best with your new route.  Take care.

We're new (about 6 weeks in). We are so overwhelmingly thankful for how early our products arrive each week. If they came earlier it would be one more task that the kiddos would need to do and potentially mess up. So thank you, thank you, thank you!!!

Jesse is great! We love having him come to our home with milk! He delivers with a smile and is always the best! (Plus he usually delivers early enough for me to get it before we leave our home) bonus points to Jesse!

We Love Jesse! He is the best milkman ever, as well as just a super nice and hardworking man. We miss him being on our route after having him for so many years as our milkman. Our whole family misses him. He's the biggest reason we have continued getting our milk delivered. We want him back, please (smile). Take care Jesse! Hope you and your family are doing well. Hi again, Jesse! It was quite funny; I'll tell you this story. The December that was your last on our route we had that winter storm and snow covered everything, including our driveway. Well, I knew you were delivering milk early the next morning, so I shoveled the driveway and side walk, poured ice melt stuff on it, and moved the milk box to the end of the driveway near the sidewalk so you wouldn't have to walk up the driveway and possibly slip and fall. I drove to Fred Meyer and bought a little lantern to set it next to the milk box with the light turned on so you would see the milk box. I then left candy and hot cocoa mix in the milk box for you to help you stay warm. Funny thing is, that day Smith Brothers canceled the delivery service due to the storm so you didn't deliver that day and then soon after your route changed and we never got to see you again, or say good-bye. Well, there are now other people who get to have the best milkman ever delivering their milk. We still love ya! Take Care and happy Milkman Day. The Mix family.

We have been pretty much housebound since mid February (some health challenges combined with lockdown) and Jesse has been an absolute lifeline for us. We truly appreciate Jesse's timely delivery of our staples. I can't imagine life with out Jesse now!

Jesse is so caring and thoughtful! Our groceries are always on time, fresh and packaged perfectly! Never once have we had a crushed chip bag and that’s saying a lot because we order a LOT of food. I am high risk and I depend on Jesse to bring us the home staples while keeping me safe at the same time. We owe a lot to Jesse, and cannot thank him enough especially during this crazy time in history!

Hi Jesse,

Even though our dog, Luna, doesn't deserve it, thank you for leaving her a Milkbone every Wednesday!  By the way, she treats our UPS delivery man the same way she treats you.  But she doesn't seem to care about Fed-Ex, the mailman or anyone else making deliveries.  We are at a loss to explain it......

Hi Jesse! Thank you for taking such pride in our deliveries every day. I know you deliver really early in the morning out here so unfortunately I've only ever seen you as you're driving away. Maybe one day I'll be up early enough to say hi! You've always gone above and beyond to make sure our orders are delivered and protected, and thank you for braving our extremely icy stairs during the winter!
