I don't think the Taylor Farms salad kits are bad, but I've certainly not found them as good as many others here seem. In my experience, more than other brands I've had of these sorts of kits, theirs always border on a sort of "slaw" rather than a salad, heavy on green cabbage and other veggies that are chopped (or break apart) small and wind up being a slaw. I always (at least when I can) have to add more leafy greens (chopped romaine, arugula, etc., and often other ingredients) to get these to resemble a real salad.
Our favorite salad kit carried by Smith Bros. in the past was always the "Fresh Express Pear Gorgonzola Salad Kit" (which was great even though we'd use only part of the sweet dressing) but that one never seems to be stocked any longer. I hope it comes back, as we've tried every other kit and they're all pretty lackluster.
