Ridiculously delicious!

This is a very balanced and full flavored coffee (chocolaty) without the bitterness. So fresh, smooth and rich.  With raw sugar and some SB cream, it bests Starbucks any day! Now I need to try Stumptown's other roasts!

Amazing flavor!

Exactly the kind of roast/flavor I look for typically and checks all the marks for me.  Very smooth and flavorful that doesn’t get lost with the MCT oil powder, monk fruit and heavy whipping cream/half&half that I add.  Highly recommend as a medium roast with a full but smooth flavor.  I use AeroPress btw, so I make my coffee really strong

A disaster of a bag :(

I haaaaate leaving bad reviews, especially on a Smith Bros item because I LOVE Smith Bros. But this bag was one disaster after another. I was looking for sthing different from my “usual” Uptown Blend or French Roast. This was different, but not in a good way! The beans are super brittle (I don’t know how else to describe them, they looked almost dried out…) and dusty when ground, but the worst part is that they were so brittle that they jammed in my burr grinder (and I have a good grinder, not junk) and I had to dissemble the entire thing because I was afraid the motor would burn out trying to churn through this mess. THEN they were so rough on the burr that they kept forcing a SUPER coarse grind. It took me three dissemblings to remove these hard beans and a lot of waste before I had enough beans to use for my pot of coffee and the natural result of the horrendously ground beans was the worst pot of coffee my Breville Precision Brewer has ever produced. I threw the entire batch and the rest of the wasted beans and unused portion away. The beans were bad, the grind was a NIGHTMARE and the cup it produced was garbage (understandably so since the ground beans looked like crushed gravel.) I just cannot say enough disappointing things about this blend. Back to French Roast/Uptown for me!
